Haryana CM Khattar calls for vigilance on dropout rates in 6-18 age group

Zero dropout mandate: Khattar urges DEOs to monitor every child in the 6-18 age group

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has directed district education officers (DEOs) to use Parivar Pehchan Patra data to track children aged 6-18, aiming for zero school dropouts. The move is part of the state government's commitment to providing formal education to all children, whether enrolled in government or private schools, gurukuls, madrasas, or special training centers.

Transportation facilities ensured for children beyond 1 km distance

In a recent meeting with education department officials, CM Khattar emphasized the importance of ensuring children attending schools over 1 km away receive transportation facilities. The primary goal is to guarantee that every child has access to quality education and contributes positively to nation-building.

Challenges addressed, including aadhaar concerns

The chief minister also addressed challenges, noting that approximately 3,000 children enrolled provisionally lacked Aadhaar cards. In response, Khattar directed the creation of Aadhaar cards for students from other states currently enrolled in Haryana schools.

The initiative reflects the government's commitment to overcoming barriers to education and ensuring that children face no difficulties in attending school. CM Khattar emphasized the need for an appropriate ratio of students to teachers to enhance the overall learning experience and build a foundation for the children's future as responsible citizens. The state government remains dedicated to the well-being and education of its young population, focusing on inclusive practices to achieve the goal of zero school dropouts.
